Aqua, caprylic/capric triglycerides, vegetable glycerin, decyl oleate, sesamum indicum (sesame oil), glyceryl stearate, arctostaphylos uva ursi (bearberry extract), ceteareth 20, ceteareth 12, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), soy lecithin, rosa canina (rose water), calendula officinalis (calendula extract), aloe barbedisis (aloe vera extract), xanthum gum (food grade), daucus carota (carrot seed oil), magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C), phenoxyethanol, ethylexylglycerine, backhousia citriodora (lemon myrtle oil).

Capryllic capric triglyceride is an excellent skin-replenishing ingredient which helps the skin resist moisture loss. It is made from coconut oil. Decyl oleate and glyceryl stearate are skin-conditioning ingredients. Ceteareth 20 and ceteareth 12 keep the other ingredients stable.

Ethylhexylglycerine is a preservative that is used in very low concentrations in some Janesce skincare products. It were chosen because it scores very favourably on the EWG (Environmental Working Group) Cosmetic Ingredient Safety Database.

No nasties. No worries. Cruelty free.

  • Apply Janesce Moisturisers to Damp Skin.

Janesce moisturisers are too concentrated to be applied to dry skin. They contain very little water because they are designed to go on damp skin, after the skin has been soaked. To get the most out of your Janesce moisturiser, make sure you embrace the Janesce Skin Soaking Ritual as a twice-daily daily habit.

A Little Goes a Long Way

Because Janesce moisturisers are so concentrated they are very economical. You only need to use a small amount of moisturiser, about the size of one or two sunflower seeds.

Tips

  • All Janesce moisturisers are concentrated and so you need a very small amount – (about the size of a corn kernel) to cover your face and neck. Always apply on misted skin or after soaking while skin is still damp.

  • It can be applied morning/evening, or once a day, depending on climate, environmental conditions and how your skin is feeling.

  • For best results, use the Shade of Pale perfecting lotion on top of the Shade of Pale serum in the evening and morning. Re-apply at mid-day if exposing skin to excessive sunlight, e.g, playing sports and other outdoor activities.

  • The majority of plants in Janesce Skincare products are grown, harvested and extracted at Claret Ash Farm – an organic, biodynamic garden in the Adelaide Hills of Australia.

Janesce products contain up to 70% more plant actives than many other botanical ranges.

Plant actives are extracted from plants in the onsite lab at Claret Ash Farm. They are left to mature for years at a time, like a fine wine.

There are no nasties in Janesce products.

Plant extracts provide the active ingredients in each product.

Moisturisers feature quality plant oils and shea butter.

Waxes are plant-based, derived from coconut oil.

  • We believe in treating all living beings with respect. None of our products are tested on animals. All of the products in the Janesce Glow Packs are vegan.

*In the wider Janesce range, the honey used in some Janesce Skincare products is ethically sourced from happy bees. Silk-proteins used in several products are also ethically sourced.

  • Our skin has a natural barrier. It protects the deeper layers of skin from environmental irritants. In the beauty industry today, this skin barrier is often stripped away through over-cleansing, exfoliation and harsh peels.

At Janesce we have the upmost respect for the skin barrier. We believe it is vital to work in harmony with the skin’s defences, not against them. Our skincare philosophy works to strengthen this layer and foster a healthy, natural glow.

  • In Janesce, we place a high priority on strengthening the skin barrier – the uppermost layers of skin that protect the vulnerable layers beneath. Over-cleansing can undermine the skin barrier. This is one of the biggest causes of skin problems, even for oily skin! This is why we recommend you cleanse in the evening only.

In the morning, simply wipe the skin with a damp cloth and move onto The Janesce Skin Soaking Routine. This will remove any excess oil or perspiration without compromising the skin barrier.

HOW TO SKIN SOAK

In the morning fill your sink with warm water, add a few soaking drops to the water and take several deep breaths, enjoying the therapeutic fragrance.

In the evening, begin by cleansing your skin of makeup, sunblock chemicals and pollutants that can build up during the day. Follow with the soaking ritual (as above).

Immerse your Janesce Soaking Cloth in the warm water, wring out the excess and press the damp cloth to your face and neck area. Take five slow, deep breaths and enjoy the process.

Repeat this step at least three times to ensure your skin is fully hydrated.

Immediately after soaking, apply a Janesce mist and/or serum.

Do not dry your face or let the moisture evaporate as this will undermine the benefits of skin soaking. Apply a Janesce moisturiser or facial oil to seal in all that botanically-enriched hydration.
