Ōtanewainuku Kiwi Trust
At The Bestow Sisterhood, our hearts are not only with the wellbeing of women but also with the land and creatures that make Aotearoa so special. That’s why we’re proud to support the Ōtanewainuku Kiwi Trust and their incredible mahi to protect the endangered North Island brown kiwi and restore the native ecosystem of the Ōtanewainuku Forest.
Guardians of the Forest
The Ōtanewainuku Kiwi Trust is a community-led conservation organisation based near Tauranga. Since 2002, they have worked tirelessly to safeguard kiwi populations and protect the rich biodiversity of the Ōtanewainuku Forest, a rare, virgin, unlogged native forest. This lush sanctuary is home to over 300 indigenous plant species, towering rimu trees, and taonga species such as kōkako and native bats.
At the heart of the Trust’s work is a robust pest management programme, which plays a vital role in restoring balance to the forest and ensuring a safe habitat for vulnerable native birds and wildlife.

Why It Matters to Us
We believe in caring deeply - for ourselves, for each other, and for the world around us. It’s a privilege to stand alongside this passionate team of conservationists, volunteers, and kaitiaki who are making a real difference.
