A Holistic, Evidence-Informed Approach
In the 1990s, the beauty industry was dominated by aggressive treatments, invasive procedures, and surface-level solutions. But despite having access to every advanced tool available, Janine Tait found herself frustrated. Her clients weren't getting the long-term results she knew were possible.
This frustration led her to holistic skincare pioneer Janice Sarre-Smith, whose teachings redefined Janine’s understanding of skin health. Through her mentorship, Janine learned to take a three-dimensional approach to skincare: one that considered topical care, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing as equal parts of the puzzle.
This marked the beginning of what we now call the Slow Beauty movement. An approach that values long-term wellness over quick fixes.
From Clinic to Kitchen: The Birth of Bestow
Armed with new knowledge and a passion for evidence-based care, Janine began studying nutritional medicine, focusing specifically on how nutrition impacts skin health. What she discovered changed everything.
She identified the key nutritional deficiencies undermining her clients’ skin and realised that the modern diet simply wasn’t providing what the skin needs to function and heal. To bridge the gap, she developed the Bestow Beauty Oil and Bestow Beauty Powder. Two foundational products that deliver skin-specific nutrients in their most bioavailable form. Known as the Twin Skin Essentials, these two products became the cornerstone of the Bestow range.
Over time, the range has evolved to offer even more advanced support. Bestow Beauty Oil is now available in two formulations: the original and the enhanced Beauty Plus Oil, which offers a more potent nutrient profile for those needing additional skin support. Meanwhile, Bestow Beauty Powder has been discontinued and replaced by Bestow Vitality, a comprehensive blend that combines the benefits of greens and reds into a single, skin-loving superfood powder.
